Overview

We provide support and advice to Czech & Slovak communities. We also organise cultural, social and educational events to promote and share the values and traditions that the Czechs and Slovaks bring to the UK.

 

Our activities in Birmingham include:

  • ​Folk dance classes for adults and children
  • Traditional workshops for children aged 4+
  • Slovak classes for non-Slovak speaking mature students
  • Number of extra-curricular events for the children, such as days out, sporting days, thematic events (e.g. Christmas, Easter, St. Nicholas celebrations)
  • Regular cultural family events to celebrate and commemorate specific events (e.g. Majova & Oktobrova tancovacka)
  • Annual black tie event & film screening for adults.
