Overview
BIRCH Network is a small charity offering support to asylum seekers across Birmingham. We have a specific project supporting unaccompanied young asylum seekers aged (16-25). We offer casework and befriending support, as well as a weekly youth hub. Many of the young people we support have been incorrectly age assessed as adults and are really struggling to access age-appropriate support. Our youth hub, which runs on a Thursday 1-2pm from a welcoming and supportive Church in Sparkhill offers a space for these young people to come together, to develop friendship and peer support. We offer a range of activities: casework support, games, English teaching, friendship, sports etc. Read more
